130,000 citizens of Serbia are clients of pension funds - 4m EUR on accounts of voluntary pension funds in only three months
Investment in voluntary pension funds is becoming more and more attractive form of saving in Serbia, so that the citizens deposited about 327.5m RSD, or about 4m EUR, to the accounts of voluntary pension funds in April, May and June, about 1.8m EUR of which was deposited in June. How quickly this savings sector grows can be deduced from the fact that about 230,000 EUR were deposited in January.
Average payment in June amounted to 1,820 RSD, and about 130,000 people signed contracts with the funds. About 80,000 of them paid tax in June, but the reason for that is the fact that the funds are voluntary, so that the member can pay the money whenever he or she wants.
Management companies are collecting to types of fees: one is collected on the occasion of payment and it can not exceed 3%, while the second concerns the fund management. Total amount of fees collected by the funds in period from April to June is 15.5m RSD or 4.72% of deposited means. Of total of seven fund management companies, the latest is Slovenian "Triglav", five are majority owned by foreign company, whereas two, "Dunav" and "DDOR", are owned by domestic companies.
