Bemax from Podgorica hired to carry out main works on Bar-Boljare highway

China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), which is building a priority stretch of Bar-Boljare highway, has decided to hire Montenegrin construction company Bemax to carry out main works, CdM reports.

CRBC will soon sign a contract with Bemax, which will be carrying out all kinds of construction works in several locations along the first stretch of the highway from Smokovac to Matesevo via Uvace.

As the daily Dnevne Novine reports, CRBC representatives are also actively talking with few more companies in addition to Bemax, and final selection and the number of construction companies to participate in main works will most probably be known by the week's end.

After that, pursuant to legislation, the list of new companies CRBC plans to hire to build aforementioned priority stretch of the highway will be submitted to the Montenegrin government for approval, which is also the last step before the main works can commence.

It is most likely that main works will begin by the end of September. Chinese and Montenegrin workers will be working together on several different locations along the first stretch, CdM reports.
