Jela Bacovic named Serbian ambassador to Argentina
Jela Bacovic is named the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Argentina, it was announced in the Official Gazette.
Appointment of Jela Bacovic as the ambassador to Argentina was already announced in the Belgrade media in early August 2015, when the press reminded she was the former ambassador of Serbia to Spain.
As it was announced in the Official Gazette in early September, three ambassadors of the Republic of Serbia are relieved of duty.
Namely, Dusan Crnogorcevic is dismissed from the position of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to the Kingdom of Sweden, while Mirko Stefanovic is no longer the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Portugal. The third former ambassador of Serbia is Milan Simurdic, who is relieved of duty of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Norway.
According to the daily Politika, Crnogorcevic will be named the new ambassador of Serbia to Berlin for the next three years. The same newspaper reports that Oliver Antic, an adviser to the Serbian president, should be appointed as the ambassador to Lisbon.
