SIEPA organizes meeting of 100 domestic and 15 multinational companies on September 7 - ideal opportunity for making deals

Serbia's Investment and Export Promotion Agency announced that it would organize the first "Meeting with the Buyers" on September 7, 2007, which would make it possible for 100 domestic companies to make deals with 15 multinationals.

According to the announcement, "Meeting with the Buyers", which will be held in Belgrade's Expo Centre, will make connecting and starting of business cooperation between large world companies and potential suppliers - small and mid-sized enterprises from Serbia - easier.

Among the multinationals that confirmed their participation in the event are "Coca-Cola", "Telenor", "Siemens", "Gorenje", "Ball Packaging" , "Ikea" and BAT. Potential local suppliers are coming from the sectors of food, automobile, chemical, wood-processing, metal-processing and printing industries, as well as from the sector for packaging and rubber and plastic processing industry.

"Meeting with the Buyers" is a part of the program for development of chain of local suppliers and part of wider program for promotion of investments in Serbia, which is financed by European Union through European Agency for Reconstruction. These programs are realized by the Advisory Service for Foreign Investments, part of the World Bank group, in cooperation with SIEPA.
