Twitter to enable tweets with more than 140 characters?

According to the source which are familiar with the company plans, Twitter is considering to increase limit of characters in public tweets. The sources claim that transitional CEO at Twittera" - Jack Dorsi considered once again the option of increasing limit after a large number of companies contacted a company with respect to this issue.

At the moment, other methods of increasing tweet character numbers, which includes hushtags, user names and links with counting characters.

This could be a wise approach which would leave key values and service function intact with, at the same time, expansion of tweet character limits.
