Stefan Vanoverbeke named new director of IKEA for Southeast Europe

Stefan Vanoverbeke is the new regional director of IKEA South East Europe which covers Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Romania, with the headquarters in Belgrade. Aside for being in charge of current retail activities, Stefan will also be entrusted with the task to expand the network of IKEA department stores in this region.
Stefan Vanoverbeke assumed the new position on September 1st from Dragan Skalusevic who will resume his career within the IKEA Group.

I was ready for the new challenge within the IKEA Group, and countries in this region - Romania, Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia - are constantly making progress and people here are talented and full of enthusiasm. I am absolutely sure that my team and me can achieve brillian results and make IKEA products available to a big number of people in this region - says Stefan.
Before arriving in Belgrade, Stefan Vanoverbeke worked as the general manager of IKEA in France. He began his career at IKEA more than 15 years ago, working at a warehouse of the IKEA department store in Belgium while still a student. Later he became the manager of a department store in Italy and the general manager of IKEA in Poland.
