Six Serbian companies among 500 largest companies in central and east Europe - best-ranked is NIS at 22nd place
On recently published rank list of the largest companies in central and east Europe (19 countries, without Russia), the first in amount of incomes is Polish petrochemical combine PKN "Orlen", which earned 13.6 billion EUR last year.
The largest Serbian company - NIS, among 500 ranked companies, is at the 22nd place with the income in amount of 3.095 billion EUR. There are five more companies from Serbia among the 500 largest - "Delta", which is the 83rd with 1.4 billion EUR worth of incomes, EPS is the 107th with income of 1.21 billion EUR, while U.S. Steel, with 815m EUR, ended at the 177th place. "Telekom" is the 210th with the income of 743m EUR, while "Srbijagas" is the 289th with the income amounting to 543m EUR.
The second place on the list, which was made by Czech daily newspaper "Hospodarzske novini", Polish magazine "Žečpospolita" and "Deloitte", belongs to Hungarian oil company "MOL" (11.393 billion EUR), the third is "Škoda Auto" (7.37 billion EUR), the fourth is Ukrainian company "Naftogaz", and the fifth is Czech power supply concern "ČEZ".
