Goldman Sachs to bid for Petrohemija - Russians eye Resavica

Director of the Privatization Agency Ljubomir Subara said that the investment bank Goldman Sachs was very interested in Petrohemija and that it would submit a takeover bid for that company in ten days.
- The CEO of Goldman Sachs, one of the world's largest investment banks, came to see me. Within the next few days, or should I say ten days, we will get an excellent offer for Petrohemija. I believe it will be the best so far - Subara told a press conference he convened because of the Government's decision to relieve him of his duties as director until the procedure for determining the existence of reasons for his dismissal.
He noted that a solution for Resavica could be found until November 15th. He specified that he had submitted all the necessary information to the president of the Russian company Energo centar, one of the largest coal excavation and coal excavation machinery production companies.
