As manufacturers say, many companies are registered as producers, although they only import goods and treat them as raw materials to avoid paying customs duties. Sabac-based manufacturer of ceramic tiles says that some manufacturers are invisible to competent agencies, even when it appears that their products have an adverse effect on people's health.
A Leskovac-based manufacturer of roof tiles and building blocks find the quality of materials to be the most important and has test certificates for all its products.
- Our product is made only from clay and water, natural materials, without any additives - says the sales director of IMG Mladost in Leskovac.
The Institute for Materials Testing should be the first stop for all building products and materials coming out of factories. Here they can obtain a certificate of quality and a confirmation they are safe for use in construction.
Manufacturers claim that about 40% of various raw materials that are used in construction are coming from the black market. These are low-quality products and materials without test certificates.
