HBIS Group Delegation is visiting Zelezara Smederevo – the Chinese interested to pour EUR 300 m

Delegation of Chinese Hebei iron and steel group (HBIS) came to Zelezara Smederevo to see departments of the Serbian steel plant, president of the Independent trade union at Zelezara, Sinisa Prelic and adds that the Chinese “are visiting departments, watching and looking around.".

The prime minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, earlier said that negotiations on strategic partnership with HBIS group have been in progress as well as that tit is the second or even the most powerful steel plant in the world.

- They are interested, as they say, to set aside at least EUR 300 m for an investment in galvanization. It would enable a new life, not only for Smederevo but entire Serbia – Vucic said before adding that our condition is that there are no dismissals.
