Marko Cadez, the chairman of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (SCC), noted that the potential for improving business relations between Serbia and Canada was much bigger than current cooperation dominated by modest trade.
- An increased interest of Canadian businessmen in Serbia, which I believe they see as an increasingly desirable investment and business destination - a place worthy of their capital, indicates that there is much room to boost trade as well as to establish some higher forms of business cooperation - said Cadez.
He stressed that Canadian companies can count on help from SCC in making contacts with Serbian suppliers which had already proven to be reliable partners to foreign investors.
- Canadian businessmen can rest assured that suppliers from Serbia are more and more capable of meeting the requirements of markets in developed countries and that the economy of Serbia can export incomparably more quality products than it does right now - said Cadez.
Canadian Ambassador to Serbia Philip Pinnington stated that over 50 Canadian companies were operating in Serbia in the pharmaceutical industry, agriculture, IT, mining sector, adding that all of them considered Serbia a good place for doing business despite certain problems.
