- We're talking with many people, they have not given up, and we are now calculating how much money we are to set aside because it is the matter of our subsidies, our investment. We are also in talks with Finns, Czechs, people from Bosnia-Herzegovina who are very interested, and this issue should be resolved fast - said Vucic.
He added that the Government had already paid three salaries to FAP employees without bragging about it.
By the way, the media report that Finland's Sisu auto is increasingly far from buying Fabrike automobila Priboj (FAP - Priboj Automotive Factory), while Tatra from the Czech Republic emerges as a new potential partner of the Serbian government.
A tender for FAP privatization was announced only for the parts of company that were interesting to the Finnish partner. There were some indications back in July that Finland's Sisu was giving up the acquisition of the Priboj-based company. On 30 May 2014, the Serbian government and Sisu auto signed a Memorandum stipulating that that company would take over part of the property of FAP to start production of new trucks and truck components. It was announced back then that minimum 600 workers would be hired in three phases and that the first 200 would start working September 2014.
Companies:
