(Aleksandar Vucic) Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said today that the Serbian government would sell Telekom Srbija if the price was good, adding that half of the proceeds would be used to repay debts and the other half would be spent on investments.
Bids for Telekom Srbija should be opened Friday. As N1 unofficially reports, four bids are received for the national telecom firm.
On July 3rd, the Privatization Agency invited non-binding bids for participation in the sale of stake in Telekom Srbija.
Over the past few days, the media have been reporting that the interest in Telekom Srbija is shown by Telekom Slovenia, which allegedly submitted a joint binding bid with the US investment fund Apollo, and by China Telecom, whose managers met with the competent representatives of the Serbian government in Belgrade early this month.
