From Budapest to Belgrade in 2.5 hours - Railroad reconstruction agreement to be signed soon

As Hungarian Foreign Affairs Minister Peter Szijjarto announced, an agreement to reconstruct the Belgrade and Budapest Railroad will be signed this week.
According to the web portal Vojvodina danas, representatives of Hungary and China have paraphed an intergovernmental agreement in Beijing to make way for the renovation of aforementioned railroad.
Mr. Szijjarto announced that the agreement was expected to be signed at this week's summit of China and 16 countries of central and eastern Europe, which should be followed by its ratification in the Hungarian parliament, while all the necessary amendments would be made by the Hungarian government in agreement with the European Commission.
- Once this renovation is completed, it will take passenger trains two and a half hours to get from one capital city to the other - Mr. Szijjarto said at the end of his two-day visit to China.
