Next week to see turning voltage on at Cuprija-Paracin track

Voltage in contact network (25kV/50Hz) over newly-built right and left lane from Cuprija to Paracin will be permanently put into operations on Tuesday, November 24, Zeleznice Srbije communicated on FRIDAY, November 20, 2015.

It is implementation of the reconstruction and modernization project of electro-technical facilities at railroad Belgrade-Nis at the Gilje-Cuprija-Paracin section. Newly-built lane from Gilje stop to Cuprija railway station are already under voltage.

Siemens d.o.o. Beograd is conducting works on modernization and reconstruction and the project totals EUR 11.853.320. The project is funded with the loan of the European Investment Bank (EIB) with the support of the Ministry of constriction, traffic and infrastructure.

After completion of all electro-technical works, railroad will be ready for train traffic at the speed of 120 km/h.
