A blend of technology and fashion - Zara to install iPads in changing rooms in Spain
The Spanish fashion company Inditex, which owns the Zara brand, is going to install iPads in dressing rooms in Zara stores to help clients pick the pieces of clothing of their choice, the Spanish web portal The Local reports.
The idea is to make it possible for customers to use iPad to scan the piece of clothing they bring to the dressing room to try on and then, if in doubt, ask the Zara staff to bring them the same piece in a different size or color.
According to The Local, this system will be put to test in one of the biggest stores of this fashion company in Spain before a decision is made on whether to introduce it in other countries as well.
The Zara brand owes much of its popularity to the majority owner Amancio Ortega, who has made it to the Forbes list of the world`s richest people with a wealth whose net worth was last month estimated at USD 79.8 billion.
