The most active companies at Serbian startup scene - From fisherman to cosmetics through cattle trading to construction and health
Serbian startup scene has been very active in 2015 as well with numerous companies, projects and investments, Conferences and meetings were organized where young entrepreneurs have been sharing experience and some foreign funds and business accelerators were interested in funding these companies which are starting their business.
eKapija business portal in cooperation with colleagues from StartIt, is bringing a list of the most interesting startups in a year which is nearing an end. Some of them have been operating for only a few months but they have already achieved enviable results while some of them have been at the market a bit longer and in 2015 they presented new projects to the public – products , services, applications, etc.
BuildCon — this startup made a tool for modern construction workers which helps them organize their work and is made in line with the needs of construction business. Application for project management connects office and constriction site and provides constant insight in the situation, fulfillment of deadlines and potential savings.
Farmia — the company operates in intranet sales of cattle and is a big innovation in agriculture. At the moment, it operates at three markets in the world and as pioneers at the global level they are preparing soon to conquer global market.

(Personal Assistive Tracking Cloud) — it has recently been awarded as one of
the best startups in the Balkans and is a device for support to autistic kids.
This service has an objective to enable continuous monitoring of a person’s
moving as well as to inform parents on current situation. It provides option of
active participation of community when it comes to family, friends, cousins or neighbors,
in prevention and protection of people with autism. Having in mind enabling of
collective child care, this kind of support promises to raise the awareness on
autism and needs of autistic people.
WorkPuls — an application which helps employers to see how much time employees really work and enables people better organization of their time and their work monitoring. As for now, it is used in 50 countries worldwide, and it was started by a 23- year old Ivan Petrovic from Belgrade a bit more than a year ago.
LoveStocks — new product of an experienced global technological entrepreneur Stefan Pajkovic who sodl his previous business for USD 50 m. The application enables investing in shares starting from USD 1 to the inetersted ones all over the world, without broker or agent costs. It could make a revolution in shares trading, making it available for everyone and changing business model and position of agents.
mBrainTrain — is another health startup, focused on monitoring of brain waves and their analysis. It is a prize winner for the best technical innovation in 2013 , mBrainTrain is a work of a guys who, after he finished PhD studies abroad, returned to Belgrade to start this business and introduce innovations in research of different brain diseases such as Alzheimer or Parkinson . Their product Smarting is a transmission device which at any moment monitors patient’s brain waves and sends complete overview to their doctor.
GrassLamp — a table lamp which is at the same time a pot for flowers is a work of Serbian team of designers and entrepreneurs which received a few awards for design and innovation and at the moment they started Kickstarter campaign with an objective to collect the first orders. Different types of grass can be planted at the lam and they are planning to expand product range.
FishingBooker — the biggest online fishing community in the world which was set up in Belgrade. This startup enables you for 70 different countries of the world, to schedule a fishing trip and captains and it was started by a young Belgrade ‘s graduate at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering when he was 24.
COFA Games — a team with already 10 members is creating the first Serbian MOBA game with a number of innovations for this type of a game which are known both for higher salary and violence of their players.
GlamBox — it is combination of
traditional and technological business which mainly refers to promotion and distribution.
GlamBox brings a box full of cosmetics products of surprises to women every
month.
