City resources of Majdanpek to be managed by means of GIS system soon

Project for neighboring cooperation between municipalities of Majdanpek and Dimovo in Bulgaria within the scope of Program "FAR 2004." has been elaborated on the basis of numerous analyses, the base for which were strategic documents of these two municipalities - said Mira Todorova, the representative of the agency that is authorized for elaboration of project by Bulgarian side, at the presentation of the program in Donji Milanovac.

- The basic aim of the project is design of geographic-information system (GIS) for municipalities of Majdanpek and Dimovo, which will contain all relevant data for potential investors, so that they could be able to decide to invest their money in these municipalities. These are, in addition to the basic ones, geographic data and data that relate to infrastructure, facilities, economic potentials and potentials of SME sector, human resources - says the Manager of Municipality of Majdanpek, Ljubiša Jovanović.

The value of the project is 75,000 EUR and Municipality of Dimovo participates with 10%. Project Dimovo - Majdanpek, the attractive areas for new investments, will be presented on November 15 in Vidin (Bulgaria), and the maps with GIS system should find their place on the official web sites of municipalities of Dimovo and Majdanpek.
