New call for concessionaire for Keles landfill released - Search for new partner for waste processing in the next 25 years

Company which wins concession, in the next 25 years will be able to manage Keles and processes waste from Nis, Aleksinac, Doljevac, Gadzin Han, Svrljig, Sokobanja, Merosina and Razanj.
Value of this investment was previously estimated at EUR 24 m and the head of the Regional developmental Agency Jug, Bojan Avramovic, before tender was released, said that "financial capacities of a bidder will come first and then technical ones".
- We will chose not only the one who offers the highest amount but it is necessary that technological solution is aligned with environmental protection - he said late last year and outlined the importance of the fact that with the new concessionaires disposal price for consumers does increase for more than 50%.
At the first tender for Keles landfill, only one offer from Spanish Urbaser arrived. Regional Developmental Agenc Jug decided to reject their offer higher than EUR 23 m as incomplete so new tender was released.
