SERTIC: Governmental incentives not to be cancelled with SIEPA shutdown
(Zeljko Sertic) Governmental incentives will not be cancelled with the shutdown of the Agency for foreign investments and exports promotion (SIEPA), but clear rules for assigning governmental funds are implemented , the minister of trade, Zeljko Sertic said for today’s Blic edition.
- Thus, more funds
will be provided for an investor which invests in devastated areas than the one
which wants to make business in developed centers – Sertic said.
Today, SIEPA and
the Agency for regional development will shut down.
According to Blic, so far, an investor used to receive funds in advance from the government for every planned vacancy, not for the ones it really created.
- Numerous misuses originated where people from SIEPA profited as well as foreign investors. Namely, an investor used to receive funds in advance from the government for every planned vacancy, not for the ones it really created. Thus, citizens of Serbia paid EUR 4.000 to 10.000 per vacancy planned within job classification – the newspaper reports, citing the claims of unnamed source from the Government of Serbia.
