NLB Banka wants to develop pension insurance market in Serbia

(Branko Greganovic) NLB Banka is interested in developing the pension insurance market in Serbia, but conditions for that have not been created here yet, said Branko Greganovic, the chairman of the Executive Board of NLB Banka, who also added that the investment in that segment of life insurance depended on institutional conditions.
As he noted, by that he primarily means the introduction of additional mandatory pension insurance, so-called "the second pillar".
- That segment of life insurance is strong in Slovenia, which is why we want to make it stronger here in Serbia as well. I believe that Serbia, just like Croatia, should introduce the second pillar as that is what develops this type of saving - Greganovic explained.
- I hope that people in Serbia will be wiser than in Slovenia which did not introduce the second pillar - said the first man of NLB Banka in Serbia.
According to him, the third pillar, that is, voluntary pension insurance, is not enough because it does not provide that size of capital.
