Basketball player Aleksandar Đorđević to gather world elite in Belgrade on occasion of ending of his career

The value of Aleksandar Đorđević, besides unfogettable moves on the floor and everywhere else, is once again proved by the list of basketball players who will take part in its final game on July 3 in ”Pionir”. None of European players managed to gather such number of famous players who will play for ”blue” and ”white” on that occasion.

”Blue”: Marko Jarić, Igor Rakočević, Predrag Stojaković, Dejan Tomašević, Željko Rebrača, Vladimir Radmanović, Predrag Drobnjak, Dejan Bodiroga, Nenad Krstić, Milan Gurović, Goran Grbović, Miodrag Marić, Peter Vilfan, Predrag Danilović, Zoran Savić, Žarko Paspalj, Vlade Divac, Nebojša Ilić, Nikola Lončar, Ivo Nakić, Slaviša Koprivica, Vladimir Dragutinović, Saša Obradović, Nebojša Zorkić, Luka Pavićević, Miroslav Berić, Dragan Tarlać, Branislav Prelević, Dušan Vukčević, Miroslav Pecarski, Zoran Jovanović. Special guests are Slobodan Janković and legends of our and European basketball Zoran Slavnić, Dragan Kićanović and Dražen Dalipagić. The coaches are Dušan Ivković, Željko Obradović, Božidar Maljković, Svetislav Pešić and Jovica Antonić.

”White”: Šarunas Jasikevičijus, Arvidas Sabonis, Šarunas Marčuljonis, Rimas Kurtinaitis (all four from Lithuania), Huan Karlos Navaro, Rodrigo de la Fuente, Alberto Ereros, Alberto Angulo,Fabrisio Ambrasa, Enrike Andreu, Rafael Đofreza, San Epifanio (all eight from Spain), Marko Milić, Radoslav Nesterović, Jurij Zdovc (all three from Slovenia), Toni Kukoč, Danko Cvjetičanin, Žan Tabak (all three from Croatia), Teoman Alibegović (BiH), Đanmarko Poceko, Rikardo Pitis, Davide Pesina, Antonelo Riva, Dino Menegin, Roberto Brunamonti (all six from Italy), Panajotis Janakis (Greece) and Rišar Dakuri (France). The coaches are Mike D` Antoni (USA) and Sergio Skariolo (Italy).

As it can be seen, there are some NBA stars (Divac, Kukoč, Stojaković…), as well as members of House of Fame in Springfield (Menegin, Dalipagić), the best player of Europe (Jasikevičijus) and former MVP players of Europe (Kukoč, Danilović, Bodiroga, Sabonis…), most of the players from the golden generation of SFRJ, almost entire national team of SCG with coach Obradović, some of the best European and world coaches… Of invited players one can make teams of Partizan in the time when Đorđević played on the team, from the period when he was just a rookie (Zorkić, Vilfan, Marić…) to the time when he became the star no.1 (Nakić, Danilović, Lončar, Koprivica, Rebrača…). Great number of guests from Italy and Spain are reflection of his career in these countries.

Every quarter will have its theme and it will picture his career. The first one will be called ”Veterans, do not give up”, the second one – ”Faster than siren – Istanbul 1992”, the third – ”Athens Forever” and the fourth one – ”Is there anyone stronger”. The game will start at 9 PM.

The game will be played under patronage of UNICEF, because Đorđević is Unicef’s national ambassador. Entire income is intended for campaign ”School without violence“. The tickets can be bouth in the premises of IPS and in Bilet servis, every working day from 10 AM to 8 PM, at price of 400 CSD (stands) and 800 CSD (floor).
