Zelezara Smederevo continues regular production - Chinese HBIS seriously interested in strategic partnership

Petar Kamaras, one of the heads at Zelezara Smederevo, said overhaul of one of four cowpers at high furnace 2 has done and that soon both high furnaces will be fully operational.

Kamaras, who is Executive Manager HPK management and the head of the Supervisory Board at Zelezara, said for Tanjug they are getting ready for announced strategic partnership with Chinese HBIS group which is seriously interested in the acquisition of Serbian steel plant.

Kamaras outlined that the plans for 2016 imply that Zelezara operates efficiently, has satisfactory financial results and prepare for privatization which are the objectives the Government of Serbia set.
