Japanese to build the highest tower in the world - Sky Mile Tower will be home for 55.000 people

In Tokyo, Japanese are planning to build the highest building in the world, even double the size than Burgh Khalifa, currently the tallest building which is 828 m high. New architecture miracle which Japanese are planning to build should be some 1700 m high and to host 55.000 people. Building construction is planned in southeast Japan.

As "Architectural Digest" reports, planned building should be called "Sky Mile Tower", it will have six-side basis and will be surrounded by artificial islands which will have flood protection function for Tokyo and will be a home for half a million people.

Main designers and architects of this building will be Kohn Pedersen Fox and Leslie E. Robertson. Completion of construction is planned until 20145. At the artificial islands, construction of wind power plant is planned as well as solar panels and alga farms which should be sufficient for electricity production.
