Turkey's CCM moda opens factory in Krusevac - Thousand new jobs by 2019

The textile company CCM moda from Istanbul is going to open its manufacturing plant in Krusevac, in the facilities of Zupa Chemical Plant, which was agreed at a meeting on the City Administration premises on 4 February 2016, RTV Krusevac has reported.

This investment project will be implemented gradually, and so will the reconstruction of Zupa facilities. The first facility has a surface area of about 2,500 square meters, the city is obliged to have it reconstructed, meaning it must be whitewashed, its ceilings need to be insulated, electrical installations have to meet production requirements, carpentry is to be replaced, antistatic flooring laid, space fenced off, and offices and locker rooms regenerated.

All these investments will be implemented gradually, and the first round will see 250 workers hired. CCM moda also plans to organize a 45-day training for its workers.

The deadline to finish all the activities range from April 20 to May 1st, when nearly EUR 1.5 million worth of machines made in Japan will be delivered to Krusevac.

One of the topics at the meeting were Serbian government's incentives for the Turkish investor, and so Mid-March 2016 is expected to see a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Serbian government, CCM moda and the City of Krusevac, which will serve as an umbrella document for all future activities. The investor intends to hire 1,000 workers over the next three years.

As announced on the official website of the City of Krusevac, the future company will be called Tibet moda.
