Supply of American gas to Serbia via Croatia

Serbian Deputy Parliament Speaker Vladimir Marinkovic said that the talks about the inclusion of American companies in the supply of gas to Serbia through gas terminals in Krk Island in Croatia had been commenced during the recent visit of the Serbian parliament's delegation to the United States of America.

Marinkovic told RTV that these talks and the Serbian government's plan to establish a gas connection with Bulgaria and Greece, with the aim of obtaining gas via that route as well, would ensure the energy stability of the country, that is, Serbia would then no longer depend on one supplier only.

He also announced that Serbia would be visited by a delegation of American businessmen in June 2016, adding that they were interested in investing in the chemical and metal processing industries, as well as in information technologies.
