There are 60 companies from Great Britain operating in Serbia with most of them having regional centers for southeast Europe in our country, which is a clear indication of the significance of Serbia's market to the British economy, Mihailo Vesovic, the director of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce's (SCC) Innovation Center, said at the seminar "Britain, Belgrade and the Western Balkans".

According to him, over the past 15 years, companies from Great Britain have invested over EUR 300 million in the economy of Serbia.

Vesovic also underlined that Great Britain was a significant partner to Serbia in the EU, adding that British companies and investments brought added value not only to Serbia, but also to the entire region of Western Balkans, such as access to new technologies, innovations, global economy and market.

He pointed to the importance of regional mergers in the Western Balkans to the improvement of competitiveness of the economy sector and the boost of exports, as well as to the firms that can be suppliers and reliable partners to large British companies.

The seminar dedicated to the cooperation with Great Britain was organized by the consulting company Eurosfera and backed by the SCC and other partners. This regional event focused on some of the most important areas of cooperation in the region and with Great Britain.
