By 2020, Serbia will implement large health and research projects - EU program totaling EUR 446 m presented
With entering the third European health program which lasts from 2014 to 2020, Serbia created an option to, with applying for EU funding, improve the situation in its health and extend and improve health service capacity.
As health minister Zlatibor Loncar outlined at today's presentation of the program at the Palace of Serbia, our country has been waiting for the program for six years and the objective is to develop common tools and mechanisms at EU level for solving lack of human and financial resources and facilitate innovation in healthcare.
According to him, the program aims at increasing access to information in the field of
healthcare outside national borders and to develop mutual solutions for
improving health care quality and patients’ safety.
