May is to see Serbian "Fiat 500L" go to Russia – customs-free, Novosti finds out. Our country will be able to export cars from Kragujevac-based factory without customs fee to the taxes market of the Euro-Asian economic Union, i.e., except from the Russian Federation and to the markets of Belarus and Kazakhstan. Given that trade is a two-way street, vehicles from their factories will arrive to Serbia in the same terms. So it can be expected that "Lada" in our market will be cheaper by ten percent.

Russian Ambassador in Serbia, Aleksandar Cepurin, presented on Friday (March 18, 2016) to Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic a positive shift in duty-free export of "Fiat" vehicles produced in Serbia to the market of the Eurasian Economic Union. Cepurin conveyed the information that two days ago a proposal to initiate the process of unification of the trade regime between the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and Serbia was approved which should be finally adopted in May this year.

- This will enable operations of working groups in Serbia when it comes both to "Fiat" and other items of mutual trade – it was emphasized in the statement of the Government of Serbia. T

Duty-free export of "Fiat 500L" to Russia is certainly news that pleased all employees in Chrysler-Fiat automobili Serbia, but so far none of the leaders at Kragujevac-based factory made a statement.
