Overview
Opovo municipality spreads in the south of Banat region and has a very favorable geographic and strategic position. The proximity of three major centers - Belgrade, Pančevo and Zrenjanin, offers a wide prospective regarding the agricultural products sales, employment opportunities, advanced education, as well as the chance for the people to enjoy the advantages of the city’s cultural, sports and supplementary scenes. The territory covering 203km² includes four settlements: Baranda, Opovo, Sakule and Sefkerin. Distance to Novi Sad and to the international Belgrade airport is 60km.
Population
Opovo municipality is one of the smallest municipalities in Vojvodina. The area of 203km ² has 11,016 citizens. There are 925 unemployed citizens according to the records from July 2007.
Economy
The most developed branch of economy is agriculture. Abundant water courses (the river Tamiš, natural and artificial lakes, swamps and canals), fertile plain and favorable climate are beneficial for agriculture. Primary activities are crop growing and livestock breeding. Maze, wheat and sunflower are the main crops grown; as for livestock breeding, pigs are widely bred, followed by cattle and sheep. Good raw materials output and favorable geographic position of the municipality, create potentials for the development of the food-processing industry, construction of processing capacities and other industry sections.
Infrastructure
The Municipality of Opovo has extremely favorable geographical position, primarily due to the proximity of major trading centers. Belgrade and Pančevo are approximately 30km away and Zrenjanin around 40km. Opovo municipality is 3km away from the principal road Belgrade-Zrenjanin. The motorway E-75 (Corridor 10) is 30km away and the Belgrade Airport is 50km away.
Tourism
Opovo municipality abounds in watercourses. The most significant is the Tamis River, although natural and artificial lakes, swamps and canals are also important. The Tamis River is a unique water-management locality, extremely relevant for the development of hunting and fishing tourism. Hence, there are plans for further development of the riverbank, the construction of facilities for sport fishing (bungalows and other accommodation capacities) in order to increase the number of tourist visiting the area.

Site description
The site is located in the Baranda settlement, 2km away from Opovo, in the vicinity of the regional road Zrenjanin-Pančevo. Access is possible from the county road R-124.

The site is not equipped with infrastructure; it has access to infrastructure / public utilities in vicinity. The access road already exists.
Additional information
Land lease for the period of 99 years is possible. The necessary planning and regulatory documentation is to be completed shortly.
