The receivables of private security companies in Serbia exceed RSD 200 million, which puts their business in danger and increases the grey zone, it was underlined at a session of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce's Group for Physical Security.

Debts to these companies, dating back up to three years, range between 2 and 20 million dinars. On the other hand, companies bear the costs of the professionalization of business, which puts the application of the framework Law on Private Security in question due to unsustainable operations. As it was assessed at aforementioned session, the sum of taxes and costs of licensing is too high in relation to the capacities of these companies.

The session of the SCC Group for Physical Security was also an opportunity to point to the problem of nonalignment of the Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Public Procurements with the EU directive (EU/24/2014), especially in the part that regulates the procurement of private security services.

Companies that operate in the domain of private security are subject to other regulations as well, such as the Law on Defense, the Law on Emergency Situation, the Law on Fire Protection, the Law on Arms and Ammonition, the Law on Criminal Procedure, and the Law on Administrative Procedure.
