As of September, Ponikve ready for civil traffic - Airport will be able to accept Boeing 737 as well

VP of the Government and the minister of construction, transport and infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic has announced today that Ponikve airport near Uzice will be completed and fully operational for civilian traffic as of September.

- The Government of Serbia, apart from investments and development of "Nikola Tesla" airport in Belgrade in the past two years, has been working on developing smaller airports in Serbia and it is not just a talk - Mihajlovic said in Uzice after "Nikola Tesla" airport donated RSD 50 m to Ponikve Airport which will be used for the construction of the passenger terminal.

She outlined that the government amended the Law on air transport and set up the Aerodromi Srbija company.
