Wine Routes in Serbia, Best Chardonnay in Serbia, Serbian Wines in German Market... If you find these headlines attractive and would like to get involved in the business, maybe now is the right moment to buy yourself a vineyard for a better price. The same goes for those who are already in the business and would like to expand their operations.
According to the classified magazine Halo oglasi nekretnine, an average price per acre of land in the vicinity of, for example, Topola, which is a fertile area ideal for viticulturists, is about EUR 250. A quarter of the land in that area, that is, in Sumadija, is ideal for vineyards, at least according to the European Union classification.
Looking at the ads for sale of vineyards across Serbia, one can easily notice that the biggest number of them are situated in Vojvodina. And, for example, EUR 4,000 is the price for a 17.8 acre vineyard in Perlez near Zrenjanin and for a vineyard of 26 acres in the vicinity of Indjija, in the village of Slankamenacki Vinogradi.
In Cortavnoci near Indjija, one can buy a fruit orchard and a house in addition to a vineyard, but for triple the price, that is, EUR 15,000.
To illustrate how big these price differences can be, we should mention another vineyard in the vicinity of Indjija, or better say Beska, that is advertised for sale at a price of EUR 55,000. True, this vineyard is much bigger than all mentioned above as it occupies 218 acres and overlooks the Danube.

A vineyard near Cacak, in the village of Pakovrace, is also for sale. The price for this 14-acre vineyard is EUR 2,500.
Real estate agencies say that when it comes to vineyards, the demand is very high for those in the Topola area. As they say, Oplenac has land that is suitable for grapevine growing, and many people interested in entering this business have already bought themselves a vineyard.
Even experts in this field point out that soil in this area is ideal, that is, that it meets all criteria for top-notch grapevine growing. This region is favorable for vine growth because of the climate, composition and configuration of the land, and it is also abundant with mild and sunbathed slopes, which is excellent for growing vine.
It may be interesting to say that this area, which some people call Serbian Tuscany, has also caught the attention of the family of the world tennis player No.1 Novak Djokovic.
