"Direct Group" to have logistic center built in Zemun - 8m EUR

Direct group, the company that is exclusive distributor of "Telenor" and "British American Tobacco", invested 1.3m EUR in Serbia this year and the investments in 2008 should be even 15 times bigger, that is, they will amount to 20m EUR. This was announced at the first "Direct Conference" of this company, which gathered about 400 employees and representatives of the partners of the company on Saturday (December 1, 2007) in hotel "Hyatt".

The company’s management said that the most significant investment – construction of logistic center in Zemun, worth 8m EUR, would be realized prior to June 2008. Also, the money will be invested in construction of distribution centers in Niš and Novi Sad.

Member of the Administrative Board of "Direct Group", Nikola Mandić, said that that company expected to obtain the third exclusive partner, in addition to "Telenor" and "British American Tobacco".

Company Direct Group in Serbia has more than 400 employees, 300 vehicles that annually travel for 10m km, four warehouses and it carries out 1m deliveries per year. The distribution is carried out on 20,000 retail spots in Serbia.
