Nis-based Aster-textile starts production in August - Objective is to export goods totaling EUR 55 m in the next three years
Last year, Turkish Aster textile bought Ei Cegar plant, once part of Ei Holding, which operated in production of metal and sheet metal products, and it is now starting works on renovation of this facility, which should be done in the summer so that in August they could begin to hire workers.
The company states that it added to its international investments another plant in Nis, totaling EUR 6.5 m and that in 2016 the plant area on 19,250 m2 with the latest technology is starting operations.
As Kocali outlined, the plan is to employ 250 workers until the opening and the end of 2016 should see 500 workers.
He communicated that the objective is to, until 2018, increase headcount to 2,000 people, and to export goods between EUR 55 and 60 m in the next three years for the world’s most famous brands, such as Mango and Zara .
