Higher tax for office square meters - Government is preparing changes to Law on tax on property

The main reason for the change in tax calculation is planned adoption of a new regulation which refers to financing of municipalities and cities. Therefore, in fact, local budgets will be "lighter " on behalf of abolition environmental taxes and signage fee payment, but the plan is that municipalities and towns compensate these such funds property taxes.

Changes to the law on the property tax, as Novosti finds out, refer to defining a method of determining this tax liability.

The Fiscal Council considers that appropriate targeted tax rate increase for companies and other legal entities during integration of signage fee into the property tax, could in fact reduce their privileged tax treatment in current law.
