Fuel Price to Go Up in Serbia - A Litre of Petrol to Cost at least 132 Dinars
According to Atanackovic, the oil price rise in the world market affects the fuel price in Serbia, but not as much as its price soars in the world.
In Serbia, the fuel price is dictated by NIS. Moreover, it is affected by the sum owed to the state and, consequently, the higher excise duties or VAT are, the higher the fuel price is, Atanackovic told Informer.
According to Tomislav Micovic of the Oilmen's Association, the fuel price in the world never rises according to a one-to-one principle, primarily due to the fact that the sum owed to the state accounts for most of the fuel price in Serbia.
Due to the oil price rise in global stock markets, Serbian drivers will soon pay at least 132 dinars for one litre of petrol and about 134 dinars for one litre of diesel. To fill a car fuel tank with an average capacity of 50l, one will have to pay 100 dinars more than before.
