Sabac draws in local investors – Land in the industrial zone bought by 20 companies, new investments announced
- Even though we're striving to bring big foreign companies to the city, we are concerned with the development of local economic potential, which is why we find it encouraging that 20 local companies have bought land in this industrial zone. This is why we're planning to aid them in the coming years, in order to strengthen and widen their activities, so that those who are out of work would get opportunities to become employed - emphasized Zelenovic and pointed out that it's the small and medium family companies that are the driving force of the economy.
Expressing his support to the mayor's announcement of Sabac's readiness to aid everyone who decides to invest there, Dragan Lukic reminds that his company, whose primary activity is the manufacture of frozen pastry, has been doing business in the city on the Sava since 2005 and that now the time is ripe for the expansion of capacities.
- Within 24 months, a 500 m2 food manufacture hall will be built on the new plot of land. We are currently employing 18 people who work at seven retail shops in Sabac, and an additional ten will be employed in the new manufacture hall. Of course, our end goal is to expand the sales outside of Sabac – concludes Lukic.
