Bad day for Polish investors in Slovenia – Tesla Recycling gives up Gorenje Surovina, Abris Capital gives up Paloma
Gorenje says that it asked the Polish company to fulfill the conditions precedent of the agreement and warned that, otherwise, Gorenje itself will cancel the agreement. Not all details are known, but it seems that the seller and the buyer had a different interpretation of the conditions of the sale.
The regional media inform that, last year, it was announced that Gorenje Surovina would be sold for EUR 29.2 mil, reduced by the amount of the current debt.
Around the same time, Polish company Abris Capital gave up increasing the capital of Paloma. The reason was that not all conditions for the realization of the increase of the capital had been determined before May 27.
The court decided in favor of Paloma last week, in one of the disputes which started after the annual general meeting held in February, but the decision won't become final until autumn. The outcome of the other two disputes is not yet known, and the impression is that the Polish simply didn't want to wait for it all.
