The City of Pozarevac buying two enterprises out of bankruptcy – Putogradnja and MIP premises to be offered to investors

This act is the continuation of the local self-government’s project of revitalizing the city’s old industrial zone, which used to be the site of numerous prosperous enterprises and which already contains the complete infrastructure.

- The time has passed when the investors used to come here and be left on their own. Our goal is to offer them already prepared business premises in order for them to create new jobs here. We have already been visited by certain investors, and there are further visits announced – said Spasovic.

The City had previously, in the beginning of November 2015, bought the Sugar Factory, which was in bankruptcy, and whose estimated value was RSD 1.45 billion. It paid RSD 301 million for it and became the owner of 22 hectares of land and 56,000 square meters of civil engineering constructions. At the last week’s session of the City Council, Spasovic announced that the City would place a bid for Putogradnja.

- Along with the Sugar Factory, we are buying Putogradnja and the Meat Industry of Pozarevac, since our plan is to prepare around 50 hectares of land and constructions to local and foreign investors – stated Spasovic.
