Russian Government made decision: Santa Claus exists
- Russian Government took action on behalf of the kids and
banned advertisement that proclaims that Santa Claus does not exist - newspaper "Rosijskaja
gazeta" announced on Thursday.
Russian antimonopoly agency is of the opinion that advertising video of the
household appliances store chain "Eto", which proclaims that Santa
Claus does not exist, discredits parents who are telling the opposite to their
children.
- It turns out that the parents are lying to their kids. This advertisement
cause children to behave in a negative way toward their parents" and it
violates law on advertising that "forbids discrediting of parents" - Andrej
Kaševarov, vice president of the agency, explained.
The council made of experts from the Antimonopoly Agency asked from the national TV networks to stop showing the “provocative” video.
