Construction of Lidl distribution center in Nova Pazova to be over by the end of 2016 – Employment for 700 workers
The German company Lidl, which bought land in the industrial zone next to the highway back in September 2014, for which it paid RSD 158 million, has started realizing the project, which will be divided into four phases, and the surface of all structures will reach 78,500 square meters.
According to the investor's plan, in the first phase a pallet rack warehouse structure will be built meant for storing consumer goods and “box in the box” warehouses with various temperature regimes – cold storage of food products. In addition to this building, the construction is planned of the administrative building meant for administrative and workers' offices. The company has not stated precisely when the second phase will begin, but according to their plan, an “open office” administrative building with meeting rooms, canteen etc. will be built. The expansion of the warehouse is planned for the third phase and it encompasses the extension of the pallet rack warehouse. In the final phase, the administrative building will be extended by an additional 7,800 square meters.
- So far, the Danish giant Delhaize Serbia and DTS (Delta Transport System) have placed their distributive-logistics centers in the central, most promising workzone. The practice has shown that a well organized business zone is the driving engine of the development of a local environment, the example of which is the municipality of Nova Pazova, which has had 3,300 business entities this year as of June - says Djordje Radinovic, head of the municipality of Nova Pazova.
