(Miroslav Miskovic) The owner of Delta Holding Miroslav Miskovic was sentenced to five years in prison and an eight million dinar fine for aiding his son Marko in evasion of withholding taxes linked to his road construction business. Miskovic was acquitted of the charge of malfeasance.

The owner of Delta was granted a separate trial from the trial of his son and other defendants in December 2015 due to health problems.

On February 25, the court issued a first instance verdict to Miskovic's son Marko and other defendants, acquitting them of charges of malfeasance affecting the road construction business.

Marko Miskovic was, however, sentenced for tax evasion to three and a half years in prison and an eight million dinar fine and his company Merainvest was obliged to pay around 320.3 million dinars in taxes.

Miskovic and his son Marko were arrested in December 2012.

After having spent several months in jail, they were released pending trial, under a several million euro guarantee, and their passports are still deposited in the court and they are not allowed to leave their place of residence without the court's permission.
