The business portal eKapija, in cooperation with the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE), published the second Special Issue of the “Italy – Partner Country” newsletter, themed “Food as a Lifestyle”, on July 12.

The new issue deals with examples of good agricultural practice in Italy which Serbian businessmen may find useful and educational, and which may also stimulate the ideas for new areas of cooperation. In the new issue of the newsletter, the readers will learn how Italians have secured their market position through insightful and innovative moves and how the Italian cuisine has become popular throughout the world.

The new newsletter features an interview with Giovanni Mafodda, director of ICE Belgrade, who has conveyed his impressions from the recently held Novi Sad Agricultural Fair, where Italy was a partner country.

How farmers in Serbia can benefit from Italy’s experience in organic production, whose market value is estimated at around EUR 1.45 billion, will be revealed by the representative of the Italian organization FederBio, whose members are involved in all phases of organic and biodynamic agriculture.

The readers will learn how the Italians have become record holders in the number of brand name food products and why the Mediterranean cuisine is believed to increase life expectancy.

The companies Intersad and Victoria Group, which cooperate with Italian partners, talk about their experiences and give useful advice regarding financing agricultural production and the necessity of the certification of the planting material.

A lot of interesting info awaits the readers: what ingredients and in what amount go into making a wheel of the popular Parmesan cheese, why fresh food is the sacred rule of shopping in Italy and where in Serbia they can take an Italian cooking course.
