Day of Serbia in Paris on September 15

Serbia will, for the second time this year, present its economic and investment potential at the business conference Day of Serbia on September 15 in Paris, as announced by the French-Serbian Chamber of Commerce. The program entails a conference which will be opened by top ranking Serbian and French officials, and meeting between Serbian and French companies will also take place.

The conference is organized by the French state agency for development and investments Business France in cooperation with the French-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia and the Development Agency of Serbia.

At the conference “Serbia – Strategic Crossroads between West and East Europe”, special focus will be placed on the sectors of agriculture, automotive and ICT industries, energy industry and environmental protection, and businessmen will have an opportunity to participate in round tables organized for each of those industries.

As the organizers say, a large number of Serbian and French businessmen are expected to attend, and the Paris conference will provide a good opportunity for development and enhancement of business activities and economic cooperation between Serbia and France.

The economic exchange between Serbia and France has doubled since 2009, and in 2015 it exceeded EUR 750 million. In the Western Balkans, Serbia is France’s main partner, attracting more than 50% of total French investments in the region.

In early July, the Western Balkans Summit was held in Paris, in which the most important political and economic representatives of France, Serbia and other countries of the region participated.
