Citizen savings in June reach EUR 8.88 billion

The total savings of the citizens of Serbia in June amounted to RSD 1,095.7 billion , as reported by the National Bank of Serbia (NBS), which is around EUR 8.88 billion calculated by the middle exchange rate of the central bank.

The June issue of the Statistical Bulletin of the NBS writes that the foreign-exchange savings amounted to RSD 1,048 billion, and the savings in the national currency amounted to RSD 47.6 billion.

Of the total foreign-exchange savings in June, long-term deposits amounted to RSD 287.49 billion, and short-term deposits amounted to RSD 760.63 billion.

In the same period, the short-term national currency savings amounted to RSD 37.23 billion, and the long-term national currency savings amounted to RSD 10.42 billion.

The total savings in January 2016 amounted to RSD 1,073.6 billion.
