SJPT: Sojaprotein reports huge drop in consolidated net profit

Becej-based soybean processor, Sojaprotein (SJPT), reported only RSD 56.6m in 1H 2016 consolidated net profit, down 93.4% y/y, on lower profitability and solid financial loss.
Namely, the company’s sales in the period arrived at solid RSD 10.3bn, up 41.4% y/y on boosted export (+42%), but operating profitability was reduced a lot, thus operating income was down 59.7% y/y to RSD 343.4m. Financial loss of RSD 285.5m finally was an additional negative factor to reduce net profit. Net debt of the company stood at the end of June at RSD 9.8bn.
