Indofood opening Indjija factory on September 2

Indofood is planning to open a factory in Indjija on September 2, it was announced on the occasion of the visit of the ambassador of Indonesia and the company's representatives to the municipality in Vojvodina.

The Indonesian ambassador, Harry Kandou, notified the president of the municipality of Indjija, Vladimir Gak, that Indofood was already planning to expand its production capacities in Indjija, but also provided the option of Indonesia's granting scholarships to high school students and undergraduate and graduate students.

The president of the municipality presented the economic potentials of Indjija, as well as the activities which the local self-government was undertaking in order to enable an uninterrupted development of Indofood. Gak proposed the opening of and Indonesian workzone within the industrial zone, in which other companies would be able to open their offices as well.


It was announced earlier that Indofood would invest EUR 11 million in the facilities in Indjija, in which it would produce instant soups.
