Air Serbia appoints CITS as general sales agent for China

Air Serbia, the national airline of the Republic of Serbia, has appointed CITS (Beijing) Air Service Company Limited as the General Sales and Service Agent (GSA) for China, effective immediately.

The GSA, with offices in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, can quote, book and issue tickets in RMB for group and FIT travel on Air Serbia. The GSA uses Air Serbia's reservation system which gives them access to fares on both Air Serbia's own operated flights, and flights of other airlines with whom Air Serbia code shares.

China is not only important to the continued expansion of Air Serbia, but also important to the development of Serbia and the Balkans Region. Our appointment of CITS as the China GSA is a critical step in Air Serbia’s expansion in Asia – said Dane Kondic, Chief Executive Officer of Air Serbia.

Air Serbia currently code shares with Air China on Air China's flight to Vienna. Air Serbia also has special pro rate agreements (SPA) for all of Etihad Airway’s flights out of China and additionally has SPA’s with China Southern, Xiamen Airlines, and Hainan Airlines.
