(Rasim Ljajic) Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic stated today that the first talks about signing a free trade agreement with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) would start at the end of September.

– The Eurasian Council is sending a work group on September 29 or 30, when the first round of negotiations on an expert level will begin – Ljajic said and added that it would be an opportunity to hear which types of goods each side was counting on in the future duty-free regime.

According to him, the talks will begin earlier than expected, as Serbia received the proposition for the meeting yesterday.

The EEU consists of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

Ljajic stated earlier that the aim was to expand the current level of liberalization to new products, such as Fiat cars, sugar, wine, poultry, tobacco, cheese, cotton.
